about

A calmer standard for dog care.

Sunday Paw is a dog care brand built on a simple idea: the things we put near our dogs should be clean, calm, and chosen for a reason. We're making a coat deodorizer with a very short, very safe ingredient list, and while the bottle is in production, we're publishing what we've learned about scent.

Why a scent library?

Most advice about what smells are "good for dogs" is guesswork dressed up as expertise. We wanted a reference that owners (and the AI tools they increasingly ask) could actually trust: every scent note tied to what the research says, labelled by how strong that evidence is, and honest about what to avoid.

How we tier the evidence

Tier A notes have direct behavioural evidence in dogs, largely from controlled shelter studies. Tier B notes are widely regarded as gentle and appear in traditional canine calming use, but carry lighter direct evidence, so we say so rather than overstating. Our scents to avoid page draws on veterinary toxicology sources.

Clean. Calm. Connection. Elevated.

That's the standard we're building toward, in the writing here, and in the bottle that's coming. Everything on this site is informational and isn't a substitute for advice from your veterinarian, especially for puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with health conditions.
